Links to the best sites of my 10 favorite bands.
- Smashing Pumpkins(
Luna, starla.org)
-
I couldn't really decide between which site I was going to put up here. Luna has everything,
while starla.org has everything else. Smashing Pumpkins is, of course, my favorite band.
I have an enigmous (is that a word?) connection with all of their music/lyrics. They defy
genres. They're awesome.

Pink Floyd
-
I LOVE PINK FLOYD!!! Gilmour is definitely one of the best guitar players since Jimi Hendrix.
Waters wrote the most direct lyrics, and simply didn't give a f*@# about what other people
would think about them. I sometimes think of them as the godfathers of techno, even though
modern techno=crap.

Stone Temple Pilots
-
I wish Weiland would quit those drugs, and write more music. *period*
-
Counting Crows
-
This is the most mature band I have ever heard. I wasn't really mature enough to really
appreciate the music. But when I picked up Recovering the Satellites, I really understood
what Adam Duritz was saying.
-
Metallica
-
As you probably have already noticed, I have a wide music taste. I don't take s@$! music
though (Hanson *hack*). I love Metallica, especially the older stuff. Probably my favorite
song by them is 'Blackened' off of the "...and Justice for All" album. I heard they were
supposed to have another album out by the end of the year, from people on the internet to
the guy from Megadeath who used to be in Metallica (in an interview). Who knows?
-
Soundgarden
-
It really bites that Soundgarden broke up. I wanted so bad to see them live. But I guess a
band can only go so long before either running into walls or drifting apart.
-
Foo Fighters
-
People say that the new Foo Fighters album sucks, but from what I've heard of it, I don't
think it is that bad. Dave Grohl is a suprisingly good songwriter, but sometimes he can
get to be a bit generic.
-
Nirvana
-
Home of the Nirvana MIDI Jukebox!!!! Nirvana is probably the most imitated band around
(hem-hem, Bush!!!) and I wish they would stop. Nirvana is neato and all and its ok if one
or two of your songs sound like Nirvana, but your whole friggin' new album! Don't get me
started on that...
-
Jimi Hendrix
-
He's great. The most innovative guitar player that I have ever heard. I have had 'Red House'
in my head ever since I first heard it. He's awesome.
-
Phish
-
Although, I haven't heard much of their music (and I'm set to by the 'A Live One' 2-disc
set) I really like Trey's attitude towards music. I've read several interviews with him,
and he seems so cool.
